Voice of My Ancestors
My husband Matt and I spent time in the heart of Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia with my 91 year old father during the summer months in 2015 and 2017. We visited my family lands where I spent my summers growing up as a child and where both my Parents were born and raised. We started to fulfill a longtime dream of recording the memories and stories of my family and the people who tended and cared for the birthplace and home of my Ancestors.
These amazing and timeless stories told by these Elders from Selmer and Guys Tennessee, are like the roots of an old growth tree that has stretched far and wide throughout our generations, forever becoming a part of me, my children and now my grandchildren.
